- ItemA Survey on Supply Chain and Customer Satisfaction of Selected Pharmaceutical Companies in Kwara State(2022-01) Nurudeen Bello AhmedSupply chain plays a major role to the success of any production-oriented organization. In fact, most pharmaceutical companies have paid limited emphasis on this factor as a major impediment to the smooth operations of achieving its objectives particularly satisfying customers. This study therefore examines the effect of supply chain integration on customer satisfaction of pharmaceutical firms in Kwara State of Nigeria. The paper adopted a cross sectional survey design, involving the use of questionnaire as research instrument. The population comprises of the 283 employees in the pharmaceutical firms in?" vara State and employed the convenience sampling techniques to arrive at a sample of 169 respondents. The study with the aid of structural equation model analyze the data. The study found that product positioning will assist in an effective supply chain in pharmaceutical products performance. Based on research findings, the study revealed there is a significant relationship between supply chain integration and customer satisfaction. The study recommends that there is a need for an effective supply chain to satisfy customers' always needs. This means that properproduct positioning can form the basis for which organizational success can be achieved. This is because the main aim for satisfying customer needs is having an uninterrupted supply of the products on the market

Typically, proactive business enterprises have a forward-looking perspective, the ability to anticipate and be prepared for the future, and a pioneering spirit (Terence & Titiom, 2009). According to Gunday, Ulusoy, Kilic, and Alpkan (2011), a formidable proactive strategic posture equips businesses with the ability to anticipate potential changes in the business environment and even exert a favourable influence over it. Strong proactive thinking is likely to provide businesses with a variety of capabilities to anticipate the needs of customers and the reactions of market competitors. Proactive entrepreneurial practice is acting in anticipation of future problems, needs, or changes; as such, it may be essential to corporate entrepreneurship as it suggests a forward-looking perspective accompanied by innovative or new-venturing behaviour. Proactive entrepreneurial practice relates to the significance of initiative in the entrepreneurial process.

Using a multistage sampling procedures, a total of one hundred and fifty entrepreneurs were selected and participated in the survey. A structured questionnaire was adopted for data collection on entrepreneur characters affecting performance of SMEs. The data were sought and analysed using SMART PLS. The Cronbach's alpha of 0.892 obtained from the data was used for the analysis. Based on the findings derived from PLS SEM creativity, proactiveness, self-confidence, risk taking have significant positive effects on profitability of SMEs.

The study looked at how corporate governance prevailing in commercial banks in Nigeria could signal the effectiveness of governance on financial performance. The study employed a longitudinal data design. It combines the features of cross-sectional and time-series designs in a research study. Judgmental sampling technique was used to collect a convenient sample to effectively represent the population while eliminating potential biases especially in surveys. The FUGAZ Banks, representing five commercial banks, were selected for this study. These include First Bank, Access Bank, Zenith Bank, UBA, and GTCO. Secondary data was utilized in this study and information for 2013 through 2022 were obtained from annual reports, accounts, and certain relevant NSE fact books from the Nigerian sampled companies. The study used panel regression to investigate how financial performance for the period was affected by corporate governance structure. Dynamic Panel data regression was used. The analysis indicates corporate governance i.e. board size and audit committee have significant impact on the financial performance of money deposit banks in Nigeria. The study recommends that companies should carefully consider the size and composition of their boards, aiming for a balance between representation and efficiency. Audit committees should consist of independent directors with relevant expertise to effectively oversee financial matters.

A cross sectional survey was conducted with a sample of 170 academic staff to test the hypotheses. The study adopted a corvenience sampling which involved selection of the section of population that provided information on the study. The data was analysed using standard multiple regression. The findings of revealed that diversity has significant effect on academic staff morale. The mixture of languages, ethnicity, religion and educational background enhance the morale employees in the academic institutions. This study thereby concluded that, diversity presents a great opportunity for organisations particularly the academic institutions in synihesizing different, ideas and teamwork, learning and growth, effective communication and diverse experierce among different gender, ethnic group religion, and cultural background. The study therefore recommends that the institution should target the recruitment of based on educational level, ethnic diversity, and religious diversity to reenergize the academia as their physical resilience, willingness to learn new things and knowledge of technology enhances productivity and thus assist in improving their morale within the organization.

This study utilized a descriptive research design to investigate the impact of inclusive Leadership on employee work engagement in the University College Teaching Hospital, Ibadan. A sample size of 379 employees was selected using stratified random sampling, and data was collected through a questionnaire survey. The data were analyzed using regression analysis, and the results revealed a that (β = 0.789, t = 11.819, p = .005), which shows inclusive Leadership positively affects employee work engagement in University College Teaching Hospital. The findings emphasize the importance of inclusive Leadership in creating a supportive and inclusive work environment, which fosters employee engagement, innovative behavior, and prosocial behaviors. The study suggests that organizations should prioritize leadership training programs, open communication, and diversity and inclusion initiatives to promote inclusive Leadership and enhance employee engagement.

On the basis of this, this study examines the impact of Value Proposition as a Marketing Strategy for Innovative Capacity of pharmaceutical firms in Kwara State of Nigeria. The study adopted a cross sectional survey design, involving the use of structured questionnaire as research instruments. The population comprises of the 283 employees in the manufacturing pharmaceutical firms in Kwara State and employed the convenience sampling techniques to arrive at a sample of 169 respondents. The study adopted the use of structural equation model to analyse the data. The result of the study as (0.365,0.594 and 0.224) reveals that value proposition as a marketing strategy has significant effect on innovative capacity of pharmaceutical firms in Kwara State. Furthermore, the relationship between Value Proposition and Innovative Capacity as a marketing strategy impacts on the performance of pharmaceutical firms in Kwara State of Nigeria. Therefore, the study recommends that to enhance the innovative capacity of the firms, managers should be conscious of the product usability and the product style.

With this perception aimed at improving the welfare of retirees seems noticeable for the purpose of increasing employees’ assets. Whether these assets increase or not is yet to be registered and made public even with the inclusion of voluntary contribution in the repealed Act PRA 2014. This study is on the effect of voluntary contribution on assets of federal government employees in Kwara state. This study hypothesis is that there is a positive effect between voluntary contribution on the employee’s assets in the federal ministries, departments and agencies in Kwara state. The study employed descriptive survey research design that is cross sectional in nature to ascertain the effectiveness of the voluntary contribution for increased pension assets. The study used simple random sampling from among the population of federal employees serving in ministries, departments and agencies in Kwara state. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data using regression analysis with the aid of SPSS version 25.0. The study found that there is a positive significant effect between voluntary contributions and contributory pension assets of employees with (p < 0.0001) which means that voluntary contributions have effect on contributory pension assets on employees. Therefore, employees should delve into having a more robust voluntary contribution to increase their pension assets at retirement

The aim of this research is to determine the extent to which matrix structure improves an organisational manpower effectiveness as well as to ascertain how matrix structure increase organisational manpower efficiency. The content analysis methodology was used in this study. The data and information used in this study are from the existing literature and previous studies. The secondary data sources include textbooks, journal articles, reports and internet. Research question raised in this paper was explored by the concept of matrix structure. The findings of the research reveal that team motivation, problem solving, skills and knowledge acquired on the job enhance manpower effectiveness while the managerial skills required in the matrix structure centred on positive on the positive achievement of the firm and individual employee. The study recommends that careful attention should be paid to the creation of matrix structure in terms of coordination, communication and control.
- ItemPERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF THE DEFINED CONTRIBUTORY PENSION SCHEME: A STUDY OF FEDERAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES IN SOKOTO STATE(2020-12) Nurudeen Bello AhmedThe Defined Contributory Pension Scheme also known as the New Contributory Pension Scheme was introduced in 2004 mainly to bring succor to employees in both the public and private sectors access to their pension benefits with ease. Unlike what obtains in the previous pension plans associated with severing consequence of failure necessitated the birth of the Defined Contributory Pension in Nigeria. Yet the plan did not go unnoticed with complaints such as employees opening retirement savings account (RSA) or the temporary retirement savings account (TRSA), awareness of interest or commission accruable to pension assets, notification of pension monthly contribution as and when due as well as the accessibility to pension assets. These are the problems the study seeks to find answers to. The study major objective through the stated instrumentality was to find out the level of the policy effectiveness. The study used primary data generated from Federal government employees and retirees in Sokoto state through the administration of a closed ended structured questionnaire. ANOVA and Spearman Correlation were used to test the hypotheses with the aid of Stata and SPSS. The study found that there is no significant difference between the opinions of serving employees and retirees in terms of opening of Retirement Savings Account or Temporary Retirement Savings Account, that there is a significant relationship between employees and retirees in the Ministries, Departments and Agencies in terms of awareness of interest or commission accruable to pension assets, that serving employees and retirees in the Ministries, Departments and Agencies have difference in opinion in terms of receipt of notification of pension monthly contributions and remittances as and when due, and that there was a significant dilference between serving employees and retirees in terms of accessibility of pension benefits after retirement. On the basis of the foregoing findings, the major conclusion drawn from this study is that the defined contributory pension scheme has performed credibly since its inception and that when adequately allowed functioning will be effective to achieve the essence for which it is enacted.

The study further employed convenience sampling techniques to arrive at a sample of 169 respondents. The study adopted the use of structural equation model (SEM) to analyse the data. The study found that product positioning has effect on marketing strategy and therefore should be given the required effort to assist in the brand awareness of pharmaceutical products of firms in Kwara State. Based on research findings, the study revealed that there is a significant relationship between product positioning and brand awareness, hence as a marketing strategy affects the performance of pharmaceutical firms in Kwara State, the study recommends that pharmaceutical firms or companies should improve on the brand awareness on their products through proper positioning.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effects of unethical behavior on employee commitment and productivity in Nigeria. For the study, a descriptive survey research method was used, with fifty valid questionnaires distributed to employees from five cluster government establishments in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. Secondary data and documentation were also reviewed and used in the study.
- ItemThe Impact of Reward System on Employee Job Commitment: A Study of Health Workers in University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital(2022) Nurudeen Bello Ahmed; Aminu Nasir Birmah; Kabir MustaphaReward system is viewed basically as a means of encouraging employee to boost their productivity. The twist by most organization particularly the ones in the public sector, pays little or no attention on rewarding their staff. This study examines the impact of reward system on the employees’ commitment of Health Care workers at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital. The population of the study is made up of 3010 staff of the Hospital. Employing the use of questionnaire to source data from the respondents. A sample of 301 was used applying Krejcie and Morgan sample size. However, only 250 questionnaires were returned representing over 70%. The method of data analysis was multiple regression model from SPSS version 25.0. The findings of the study revealed that there is a significant relationship between reward system (as proxies by compensation, training and development, conducive working environment, promotion) and work commitment of health workers as evidenced from the p-value of 0.458, 0.000, 0.000 and 0.000 respectively. The findings shows that there is a positive effect between compensation, conducive working environment, promotion and work productivity, while there is an inverse effect between staff training and development with work productivity. It is therefore recommended that organizations should lay much emphasis on giving compensation, providing e-conducive working environment, and promoting deserving staff when due as well as re-invigorating e-training and development at UITH.
