- ItemA Comparative study of peace maintenance strategies at College of Education and Polytechnic Institutions in Kwara State(Journal of Collaboration of Education Faculties in West Africa. CEFWA, 2011) Afolabi S.OThe study focused on peace maintenance strategies adopted at college of Education and Polytechnic Ilorin in Kwara State. 100 academic staff were randomly selected from two institutions. Peace Maintenance Strategies Questionnaire was the instrument used while T test statistics was used to analyze the hypotheses generated. The findings among others shoed that here was no significant difference between the peace maintenance strategies adopted by the management of Kwara State Polytechnic and colleges of education while the causes of crisis in institutions of learning are similar. Effective communication process and good human relation between school manger, Staff and unions were suggested.

It specifically exposed the School Managers to resources that were adequately and inadequately made available as well as those that are under, over or optimally utilized in schools on the other hand. The place of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), and Quality Assurance Bureau (QAB) in the supervision of school facilities should not be underrated
- ItemPublic cost and internal efficiency in Kwara State Public Secondary Schools, Nigeria(2013) Afolabi S.O; Abdulkareem A.Y; Akinnubi O.P; Atolagbe A.AThere are 100 Public Secondary schools in Kwara State out of which 100 were randomly selected. The secondary Education Cost and Internal Efficiency Checklist was used to collect data. Five research questions and hypotheses each were raised and analyzed using percentage and Parson Product Moment Correlation coefficient 0.05 alpha level. It was found that budgetary allocations were the main source of funds for secondary schools. There is an annual fall from 29.2% of the total cost in 2005 to 7. in 2009. The study also revealed a significant relationship between public cost and internal efficiency in schools. It was recommended that government should mobilize special funds to expand and renovate the available school facilities
