dc.description.abstractThe study examined the effect of leadership styles on the performance of the employees in Bowen University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria. Simple Random Sampling technique was adopted in selecting a total of two hundred and sixty (260) respondents as sample for the study, while relevant data was gathered with the aid of a structured questionnaire. Four hypotheses were formulated, descriptive and inferential statistical tools were used to analyze the data. The descriptive statistics of simple percentage, mean, and standard deviation was used to meaningfully describe the data collected for the study while the inferential statistics of logit regression was used to achieve the objectives of the study and test the hypotheses formulated for the study. Findings showed positive and negative correlation between leadership style dimensions and organizational performance. It was also found that leadership style dimensions jointly predict organizational performance, which counted for 23% variance of performance.
