| dc.description.abstract | The introduction of Arabic language as an academic discipline into the Nigerian educational curriculum was not accidental. It was in recognition of its significance as a language of Islam and diplomacy. Centuries before the advent of Europeans on Nigeria soil, Arabic had been used for religions, social and cultural purposes. In West Africa as a whole and Nigeria in particular, poetic themes in Arabic language have remained within the framework of the interest of Islamic religion. | |
