dc.description.abstract | The Quran was revealed to Muhammad who taught his Ummah in various ways that accommodate people of variant dialects. Thus recitation of Qur'an in different ways which were approved by the Prophet is otherwise known as Qira 'at. These differences do not alter general content of the Qur'an; however, it has some influences in some interpretations which in turn bring different opinions on legislation on some maters. It is on this background that this paper aims to review the influence of Qira'at on jurisprudential rulings. The paper, given its nature, is library based research with extensive literature review. The paper, after the introduction, gives Genesis of Quranic Variant Recitation (4-Qira 'at) and analysis of the Influence of Qur'anic Variant Recitation (Qira 'at) on Juristic Legal Rulings before the conclusion. | |
