Abstract
This study examined the effect of sustainable growth through green innovation: Analyzing
organizational performance in selected pharmaceutical firms in Ilorin metropolis, Nigeria. The study's
purpose was to establish the effect of green innovation dimensions such as green process, green product
innovation, energy renewable and environmental consciousness on performance of selected
pharmaceutical companies in Ilorin metropolis, Kwara State. Survey design was used for the study, as
data were collected using questionnaires administered on a sample of two hundred and eighty-four (284)
respondents using Taro Yamane sample size determination model from 979 population. The data
analysis for the study was carried via PLM-SEM. Consequently, the findings of the study revealed that
green innovation dimensions positively influence the performance of Peace and Tuyil pharmaceutical
company with beta (â = 0.230), t-statistic (t = 2.468) and p value (p = 0.014), (â = 0.656), t statistics (t =
11.280) and p value (p = 0.000), (â = -0.182), t statistics (t = 1.788) and p value (p = 0.074) and (â =
0.161), t statistics (t = 2.025) and p value (p = 0.043) respectively. The study highlights the critical role
of green innovation as a strategic driver for sustainability and improved performance in the
pharmaceutical industry. The study further recommends that green innovation dimensions should be
integrated into business operations as these would enhance sustainability credentials and improve
overall firm performance, contributing to both economic and environmental goals
