Abstract
This comprehensive study delves into the transformative influence of M & M Event Center on the social fabric of
Kwara State society. The primary focus is on understanding how the event center facilitates social interactions,
bolsters community engagement, stimulates economic activity, and fosters social cohesion. The study follows a
quantitative approach, encompassing surveys for quantitative data collection and interviews for qualitative insights.
With a participant pool of 80 respondents, the research captures a rich cross-section of demographics. The results
are indicative of a vibrant ecosystem within the event center, where a diversity of social events and gatherings
thrive, enhancing the social interactions of attendees. A prevailing positivity is observed among event participants,
organizers, and the local community, corroborating the center's substantial social impact. Furthermore, the center's
economic significance is underscored by its contribution to increased economic activity and the positive
reverberations felt throughout the local community and the wider economy. An essential dimension of the study
unveils the center's role in nurturing a sense of belonging, fostering unity, and amplifying community engagement.
These findings are aligned with the evolving global trends in tourism, which emphasize experiential, communitybased, and socially conscious travel. By offering an expansive range of social experiences and providing spaces
conducive to networking, M & M Event Center emerges as a vital hub for interactions that transcend mere
transactions. These interactions, in turn, contribute to economic growth, while the sense of unity promotes social
cohesion.
