Abstract
Shape Memory Alloys shortened as SMA’s are examples of smart materials. They
sense and respond to changes in environmental conditions or stimuli, such as chemical,
electrical, mechanical among others. This review, discusses the concept of SMA’s,
including their engineering effects and innovations in SMA’s research. Similarly, the
uses and applications of SMA’s in engineering and related fields such aerospace,
biomedical, chemical, civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering are reviewed briefly
