- ItemEFFECTS OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON PERFORMANCE OF SMALL BUSINESS OF KWARA STATE, NIGERIA(International Journal of Enpreneurship Innovation and Management, 2023-07-12) IBRAHIM BAMIDELE HAMZATThe study identified Effect of Covid -19 on business performance in Ilorin metropolis. This with a view to providing information for management of small and medium enterprises business in maintaining a constant covid-19 measures particularly the appropriate ones that will increase increased productivity. The instrument for data collection was questionnaire with the population of 180 small business. The sample size of 124 was reached through the use of Taro yamani. To elicit information on effect of Covid-19 and its resultant effects on SMEs. The Data were analyzed using appropriate descriptive and inferential statistic and adoption of linear regression, the result revealed that there is a significant impact of Covid- 19 on SMEs performance. The variables considered include social distancing, business lockdown. The result regression table shows that Covid-19 has a significant effect on service quality and markets share of SMEs in Ilorin, Kwara State. The study recommends that small-scale business should adopt other strategy in their business operations. Strategy such as: Tele-migration and other e-service to enhance the business performance in the countries.
- ItemNEXUS BETWEEN TECHNOLOGICAL INCUBATION AND SMALL SCALE BUSINESS PERFORMANCE: A CASE STUDY OF SELECTED SMEs IN ILORIN, KWARA STATE(GOMBE JOURNAL OF ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT, 2023-05-19) IBRAHIM BAMIDELE HAMZATTechnological incubation has become a global phenomenon as its practice is increasing across the globe. In the United State and the adoption of technological incubation plays a key supportive role for businesses and have continued to grow in many other countries. The study aimed at investigating the relationship of technological incubation on small business performance in Ilorin, Kwara State. A survey and quantitative research method was used in the study. A purposive sampling technique was adopted in selecting a total of one hundred and eighty-four (184) respondents as samples for the study, while relevant data were gathered with the aid of a structured questionnaire. There were 165 respondents out of a total number of 184 staff in the selected organizations (selected SMEs). A hypothesis was formulated, and the descriptive and inferential statistical tool was used to analyze the data. Specifically, correlation analysis was used to examine the extent of the relationship between technological incubation dimensions and organizational performance. The study, however, revealed that the type of technological incubation was one of the major reasons for the organization’s success. Finally, technological incubation was found to be a very important key factor for the growth and survival of small-scale businesses in Ilorin.
