dc.description.abstract	Arabic is one of the most prestigious languages of the word. Its association with Islam has made it a distinguished language among other languages. It is one and only language which Allah preserved for the revelation of the Qur’an. It is the language of Islamic heritage. It is a historical language that has preserved it lexical endowment, grammatical properties and structural devices since more that 14 centuries without changes. It is a flexible language for it gives and takes. Apart from being the language of Islam, it is the language of literature, administration, commerce and sciences. Despite the facts, the importance of Arabic has not been give proper attention. Using descriptive method, the study aims at giving emphasis on the roles and importance of Arabic in the society.
