Abstract
I prepared this 47 page report in partial fulfilment of the requirements for admission into the corporate membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and towards the goal of registration with Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria. Corporate membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers is only attained after passing a series of thorough assessment including but not limited to an oral interview, a written examination and submission of a technical report. The report contains two volumes: Volume I which details my postgraduate experience; and Volume II which gives the details of the design and construction of a hot air balloon which I undertook between 2013-2014.
