The Covid-19 pandemic has generated a lot of reactions from Nigerians home and abroad both before and after the lockdown. These reactions are encapsulated in the linguistic choices of Tweeter users. The thrustnof this study was the examination of selected Covid-19 tweets through the adoption of a discursive pragmatic approach. The data forbthe study were selected purposively and randomly: and analysed using Agenda Setting Theory of McCombs and Shaw (1972).
