ABOUT THE CENTRE The Centre for Islamic Contemporary Studies and Arabic Documentation, Kwara State University, Malete, is a Centre that aims at advancing a nuanced and scholarly understanding of Islam in the modern world. Through a blend of classical knowledge and contemporary analytical approaches, the Centre is to equip learners, scholars and researchers of Islamic and Arabic studies with the intellectual tools needed to engage thoughtfully with current global discussions surrounding Islamic thought, culture, and practice. Its programmes emphasize critical inquiry, interdisciplinary research, and application of Islamic and Arabic knowledge to addressing contemporary challenges and fostering of ethical leadership inspired by Islamic intellectual heritage. The Centre also positions itself as a hub for the preservation, study, and promotion of Arabic documentation. To this end, it aims to enhance proficiency in the Arabic language, foster expertise in the interpretation, translation, and archival management of Arabic texts. By integrating language mastery with document analysis, the Centre aspires to support scholarship, strengthen cultural understanding, and contribute meaningfully to the broader academic and societal discourse on Islam and the Arabic-speaking world. The Centre, therefore, offers a wide range of programmes that would lead to the award of Professional Certificates in the following: i). Proficiency in Arabic Language; ii). Computer Literacy and ICT for Arabic and Islamic Scholars and Students; iii). Islamic Medicine iv). Islamic Counseling and Spiritual Guidance v). Islamic Banking and Finance vi). Islamic Cooperative Studies vii). Islamic Estate Distribution viii). Da'wah Methods in Contemporary Time ix). Quranic Recitation for Beginners In addition, other activities of the Center include but not limited to: i). Collection of Arabic manuscripts, cataloguing and digitizing them as well as other Arabic and Islamic Heritage and Intellectual Properties with a view of publishing them on the Centre’s website to attract researchers from across the Globe. ii). Embarking on a book project that will document biographies of Arabic and Islamic scholars from across the state. iii) Floating an academic Journal to be published by the Centre iv) Editing, proofreading, translating and publishing of Arabic or/and Islamic manuscripts written by any author, with token fees to be charged. v). Preserving, improving and promoting Islamic Artifacts and other intellectual heritage in Kwara State and beyond. Phone No: 09035389720 مركز الدراسات الإسلامية المعاصرة والتوثيق العربي أسس مركزُ الدراسات الإسلامية المعاصرة والتوثيق العربي بجامعة ولاية كوارا – ماليتي، لترسيخ فهم متعمّق ورصين للإسلام في العالم الحديث والاحتفاظ على التراث العربي والإسلامي. ومن مهامه المركو تزويد الطلاب والباحثين بالأدوات الفكرية المعاصرة التي تمكّنهم من التفاعل الواعي مع الحوادث العالمية الراهنة المتعلّقة بالفكر الإسلامي وثقافته. وتُركِّز برامجُ المركز على تنمية التفكير النقدي، وتوسيع آفاق البحث المشترك بين التخصصات المتداخلة، وتوظيف المعارف الإسلامية والعربية في معالجة التحديات المعاصرة، إضافةً إلى إعداد قياداتٍ أخلاقية تستلهم قيمهم من التراث الفكري الإسلامي. ويُقدِّم المركزُ نفسَه كمنصّة معنيّة لحفظ الوثائق العربية ودراساتها ونشرها، ويسعى في هذا الإطار إلى تطوير الكفاءة في اللغة العربية، والخبرة في تفسير النصوص العربية وترجمتها وإدارتها أرشيفيًّا. ومن خلال الجمع بين الإتقان اللغوي والتحليل الوثائقي يسعى المركزُ إلى دعم القدرة الدراسية، وتطوير الفهم الثقافي، والمساهمة بفعالية في الخطاب الأكاديمي والمجتمعي المتعلق بالإسلام والعالم الناطق بالعربية. وبالتالي يُقدّم المركز مجموعة واسعة من البرامج التي تؤهّل المشتركين فيها للحصول على شهادات مهنية ودبلوم في المجالات التالية: 1- إتقان اللغة العربية، 2- مهارات الحاسوب باللغة العربية، 3- الطب الإسلامي، 4- الإرشاد النفسي والتوجيه الروحي الإسلامي، 5- المصرفية والتمويل الإسلامي، 6- الدراسات التعاونية الإسلامية، 7- التوزيع الإسلامي للتركة (علم الميراث وتطبيقه العملي)، 8- أساليب الدعوة في العصر المعاصر، 9- مقاصد الشريعة، وغير ذلك من البرامج التي ينظمها المركز. إضافة إلى ذلك، تشمل أنشطة المركز برامج أخرى، على سبيل المثال لا الحصر: - إصدار المجلات الأكاديمية باسم المركز. - تحرير أو نشر كتب من علماء اللغة العربية والدراسات الإسلامية وغيرهم، ومراجعتها أو ترجمتها وذلك مقابل مبلغ يدفع إلى الجامعة. - تنظيم الندوات حول الرؤى الإسلامية لمختلف القضايا المعاصرة المختلفة. للاستفسارات حول المركز، يرجى الاتصال ب: https://portal.kwasu.edu.ng/cicsad/admissions أو التواصل مع: المدير الأستاذ الدكتور صالح محمد جمعة ألاشو، 08034991544، smjalaso@gmail.com نائب المدير الأول: الدكتور خالد بلو: 07034570788 نائب المدير الثاني: الدكتور إسماعيل صالح أوتوكوكو: 07033177489 سكرتير المركز: لبابة الأمين ألادودو: 09035389720
