(2023-04) Harona Tanimu Mohammed; Nurudeen Bello Ahmed; Zekeri Abu'; Mustapha Nmanda Mattapha'
Proactive entrepreneurial practice is an element of corporate entrepreneurship. Consequently, proactive catrepreneurial practice shapes the environment by creating beforehand a platform that contains he challenges that may come with new products, technologies, and administrative procedures, as opposed to reacting to the environment. Typically, proactive business enterprises have a forward-looking perspective, the ability to anticipate and be prepared for the future, and a pioneering spirit (Terence & Titiom, 2009). According to Gunday, Ulusoy, Kilic, and Alpkan (2011), a formidable proactive strategic posture equips businesses with the ability to anticipate potential changes in the business environment and even exert a favourable influence over it. Strong proactive thinking is likely to provide businesses with a variety of capabilities to anticipate the needs of customers and the reactions of market competitors. Proactive entrepreneurial practice is acting in anticipation of future problems, needs, or changes; as such, it may be essential to corporate entrepreneurship as it suggests a forward-looking perspective accompanied by innovative or new-venturing behaviour. Proactive entrepreneurial practice relates to the significance of initiative in the entrepreneurial process.
