    IMPACT OF CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY ON JOB COMMITMENT AND PERFORMANCE

    The study analyses the impact of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on employees commitment and performance using social identity theory as its theoretical basis because the theory explains how employee's perception of CSR activities influences_their attitudes behaviour, commitment and consequently their performance in the workplace. Primary data was used to elicit information from employees and secondary data from the compamy financial statements (CSR report) was used to compliment the primary data. The result revealed that CSR influences employee dedication and commitment to the organisation. It was recommended that firms should maintain CSR practices
