THESE METHODS: GRAMMAR TRANSLATION, DIRECT,AUDIO-LINGUA, COMMUNICATIVE LANGUAGE TEACHING, SILENT WAY, WERE DISCUSSED WITH THE CONSIDERATION OF THEIR CONCEPTS, MERITS AND GUIDING RULES FOR USING FOR EFFECTIVE TEACHING AND LEARNING OF ARABIC LANGUAGE AS A FOREIGN TONGUE IN NIGERIA
