dc.description.abstractThe study focused on peace maintenance strategies adopted at college of Education and Polytechnic Ilorin in Kwara State. 100 academic staff were randomly selected from two institutions. Peace Maintenance Strategies Questionnaire was the instrument used while T test statistics was used to analyze the hypotheses generated. The findings among others shoed that here was no significant difference between the peace maintenance strategies adopted by the management of Kwara State Polytechnic and colleges of education while the causes of crisis in institutions of learning are similar. Effective communication process and good human relation between school manger, Staff and unions were suggested.
