Abstract
In this paper, we construct three orthogonal polynomials which are incorporated into the perturbation term of a numerical scheme analogue to the Ortiz recursive formulation of the Lanczos tau method. The method was implemented on some selected problems and the accuracy obtained justifies the desirability of the numerical scheme.
