Using secondary sources and a case study approach centered on Nigeria, the paper investigates how ethical leadership is critical for creating trust, accountability, and integrity within public institutions, which are critical components for good governance and service provision. The study looks at a variety of secondary sources. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of long-term commitment to ethical principles and value-driven leadership in Nigeria's journey to a more fair and prosperous society. The study makes several recommendations, including the need for comprehensive ethical training, strong transparency and accountability procedures, citizen engagement, strengthened legislative frameworks, and the use of technology to support ethical government.
