Abstract
With focus on training by several organization during this era of
globalization and rapid technological changes meant to increase in
performance / productivity. Employees’ performance in Giwa and
Sabon-Gari Local Governments has been so low resulting from other
organizational factors like corruption and lack of training funds. It is
against these stated problems that the study assesses the effects of
organizational factors on employee performance in Giwa and Sabon-Gari Local Government Areas. The study relied on both primary and
secondary data. While the primary data was based on questionnaire
and interview, secondary data was sourced from relevant documents.
Relevant among them includes: Staff Register of Giwa and Sabon
Gari Local Governments; Giwa and Sabon-Gari Local Governments’
Worker’s Performance Appraisal report, 2017 etc. The data were
descriptively (via frequency tables and percentages) and inferentially
analyzed (through the use of multiple regression technique of
analysis) with the help of Statistical Package for Social Sciences
(SPSS, Version 25.0).The hypotheses were tested and all rejected
because the un-standardized coefficient of corruption, which stood at
0.606 has highly affected employees’ performance. More so, the un
standardized coefficient of inadequacy of training funds stood at
0.149 and 0.135 respectively. This indicates that employees’
performance is also highly affected by inadequacy of training funds in
Giwa and Sabon-Gari Local Government Areas. The study
recommended among others the need to solve the negative effect of
low training funds on employees’ performance in Giwa and Sabo
Gari Local Governments.
